Citizens who have not received a moving traffic violation within the past year may elect to participate in the Traffice Infraction Deferral Program. Program Explanation and Fees While participating in the program, a person must agree that he/she will not committ a criminal or moving traffic violation in any state for a period of six months, the duration of the program. After successfully completing the program, the original citation will be dismissed by the Town without prosecution and no points will be assessed to the participant's driving record. Program User Fee $112 Court Fee (required) $71 To sign up for the program, you must appear in person at the Cedar Lake Police Department. Please bring a cashier's check or money order for the total amount, $182.00 made payable to the Clerk, Lake Superior Court.  We can not accept cash.
