Department of the Town ManagerThe Town Manager is responsible to the Town Council for the proper administration of the affairs of the Town which is under the authority and control of the Council. After the Council considers matters of business at their meetings and decides upon a course of action, the Town Manager is responsible for implementing their decisions. The Town Manager is required to prepare and submit budget estimates to the Town Council from time to time. This includes coordinating budget estimates with other departments of the Town such as the Police, Fire and Parks & Recreation. The Town Manager is also responsible for communicating with developers and representatives of prospective business firms in efforts to attract new commercial and industrial development to Cedar Lake.
